School Policies

Please acknowledge our policies below before registering your child:

Enrolment

  • Students will receive a free 1-to-1 assessment or trial class to determine their most suitable course level.

  • Registrations are operated on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Enrolments are confirmed upon completion of the 1) registration form, 2) class allocation and 3) tuition payment.

Tuition Payments

  • Payments are made on a monthly basis, and should be made prior to class commencement date, to avoid a late payment charge of 5% per invoice. 

 

Class Materials & Workbook Fee

  • For Growing IQ Level 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 courses, a $980 Class Materials & Workbook Fee is charged for each level.

Make-up Classes

  • GIQ students are entitled to 1 make-up class per month when a minimum of 1-day notice period has been given.

  • Make-up classes should be arranged at least 1 day before their next class to maintain their learning progress.

  • Make-up classes for Math Music Motion (MMM) students will be scheduled to join another class prior to their next one (subject to availability).

  • Make-up classes due to sickness can be arranged with valid medical certificates or doctor's notes.

  • Make-up classes are non-transferable or refundable.

 

Class Changes

  • We reserve the right to make changes to the curriculum, teachers or schedule when necessary.

Safety and Well-Being

  • During COVID, we reserve the right to introduce and maintain health and safety measures to safeguard all students, parents and staff.

  • Parents and guardians are required to fill in the Health & Travel Declaration Form prior to arrival at the centre, and scan the LeaveHomeSafe app upon arrival.

  • If students have any medical conditions or special requirements, please inform us prior to participating and ensure your child has doctor's consent if needed. 

  • A CCTV system has been installed in the common areas and classrooms at the centre. For the safety of the centre and personal safety of students, parents, guardians and staff, the CCTV system will record video footage and will be handled in compliance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (PDPO) and any applicable laws in Hong Kong.

  • In case of any change in pick-up arrangements, parents must inform us to safeguard all students.​

Inclement Weather Conditions and Government Guidelines

  • Classes will be cancelled when the Typhoon Signal No. 8 and above, or Black Rainstorm Signals are in force.

  • Classes will resume if the weather signals are lowered at least two hours before the scheduled start time. Please check our website and or social media platforms for updates.

  • In the event the Education Bureau (EDB) announces closure of schools, classes will be cancelled.

  • Refunds or make-up classes will not be provided for cancelled classes due to inclement weather or Government announcements.

 

Intellectual Property

  • Approaching staff for private arrangements outside of Growing IQ is not permitted without the company's consent.

  • All of our class materials and workbooks are exclusive to Growing IQ students only. Reproduction, re-publication and distribution of our materials in any form is strictly prohibited and infringes copyright laws.

Liability

  • Growing IQ and its staff will not be held responsible for any injuries that may be sustained, and any loss/damage to any personal belongings in the centre.
