Planning:

  • Plan and deliver creative classes while incorporating a hands-on learning approach and style

  • Differentiate a class to meet the needs of all students

Class Management:

  • Organize and manage groups and individual children, ensuring activities are age-appropriate and challenging

  • Identify if a class needs to be altered to cater for individual students.

Observations:

  • Track individual progress of students

  • Provide support for each student and give guidance to parents to aid in any home learning/exploration where needed.

Communications:

  • Deliver parent-teacher conferences.

  • Communicate with the Growing IQ team regarding class progression, concerns, student progress, parental involvement, and needed support as applicable.

  • Ensure we have created a comfortable environment for parents to feel welcome to discuss lesson highlights, ask questions, and discuss any student specific comments or concerns either in person or via, emails or phone calls.

  • Meet paperwork deadlines such as lesson plans-weekly class updates.

Essential Role and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the day-to-day planning, delivering and management of assigned classes, assessments and holiday camps based on the GIQ curriculum, including the safety and welfare of all students.

Other ad-hoc duties:

  • Participate in mandatory company activities (e.g., staff meetings, professional development opportunities, team building, marketing events).

  • Ensure that company policies and procedures are reflected in daily practice.

You have:

Minimum:

  • One-year work experience with kindergarten and primary-aged children.

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Basic knowledge of office software (i.e. Word, Excel, Pages, Numbers).

  • 2 contactable referees for reference.


Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in early education or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience working with kindergarten and/or primary-age children.
